Biography

Hi, I’m Dave. I started drumming at around the age of fourteen, after picking up the sticks and having a go on a friend’s kit. In that moment my passion for music was heightened, by discovering my aptitude for rhythm and percussion. Since then I have spent much time playing in bands, furthering my drumming techniques and skills and developing my general knowledge of music. In doing so, I have gained a lot of live experience, alongside recording studio experience. I decided to become a drum teacher to help, advise and encourage new and existing drummers to enable them to realise their full potential. I have now become a part of the Drumsense network of teachers. The acclaimed programme is tried and tested and gives students a clear and structured path to learning the drums. The system we use covers a wide variety of drumming styles and topics and teaching is tailored to suit the individual using a variety of books, dvd’s and play-along material. Whatever your objectives or level of drumming ability you will receive structured 1-2-1 tuition to help you achieve your goals.

I am able to travel to students to give lessons in their own home which is usually better for most as it means students can learn using their own kit, equipment and setup.
